The latest release on Nurtured Beatz sees Glasgow-based producer Hex making his debut on the label. Possibly best known as the man behind DNB Dojo, Hex's varied productions have seen release on Detached Audio, Bay 6 and beyond. This single shows off his take on the darker end of D&B.

'Delirium' builds tension on the intro via serene pads and melodic flourishes, amping up the energy before the drop hits you like a ton of bricks. Sci-fi sampling and detailed percussion make for a dancefloor-focused roller powered along by some serious bassline distortion.

Retaining the sci-fi cues and spooky melodies, 'Phosphorus' takes things deeper, bringing together morphing low end riffs and heavyweight halftime drums. Extra hits and fills build the pressure over the course of the 1st half, bubbling over into a 2nd drop breakbeat switch up and a groaning bassline variation. Danger!
